DOCTOR ยท TRAINING
Hands-on clear aligner workshops
Practical, hands-on training for dentists who want to place clear aligners with confidence. In small sessions you work through the whole Active Aligners case, from records and scanning to reviewing a 3D plan, placing attachments and delivering aligners at the chair, alongside a clinical mentor and other providers.
LEARN BY DOING
Learn by doing

Workshops are run by experienced Active Aligners clinicians and mentors, the same people who plan and finish cases every week. Groups are deliberately kept small, usually around six to twelve providers, and a typical session runs a half to a full day so there is real time at the bench rather than a lecture you sit through.
You do the work with your own hands. You capture a set of records and photos and learn to spot the common mistakes before they cost you a refinement, take or review an intraoral scan, walk through a 3D treatment plan and sign it off, mark up interproximal reduction, and practise placing attachments and seating aligners. A mentor works the room, so when something does not track you get an answer in the moment.
This is where the theory of the Fair Advantage course and the online training turns into something you can do confidently at the chair. You leave able to submit a clean case, read a plan critically and deliver your next patient without second-guessing the workflow.
TOPICS COVERED
Topics covered
Each session works through the clinical essentials of clear aligner therapy and the digital workflow behind them, so knowledge turns into confident everyday practice. These are the three areas you practise most.
Records and case selection
You practise capturing the full record set a case needs: extraoral and intraoral photos, a bite registration and a clean intraoral scan. We walk through the capture errors that quietly derail plans, blurred occlusal shots, distorted scans, missing contacts, so you catch them before submission. Better records mean a plan that matches the mouth and fewer refinements down the line.
Planning and delivery
You open a real digital treatment plan and learn to read it critically, checking staging, tooth movement and where the plan needs adjusting before you approve it. Then you practise the chairside steps: marking and measuring interproximal reduction, placing attachments accurately with a template, and seating and checking the fit of the first aligners. It is the part providers most want to rehearse, and the part that pays off fastest.
Monitoring and finishing
You learn to track a case between visits, spot mis-tracking early and decide when to hold, re-seat or plan a refinement rather than let a case drift. We cover finishing to a result you are proud of and retention that holds it, plus how the Doctor’s Library and WhatsApp support back you up when a case needs a second opinion.
WHY ATTEND
Why attend a hands-on workshop
Reading about a workflow and doing it are two different things. A workshop lets you work through every step with a mentor beside you, build the muscle memory that makes a case feel routine, and clear up the small uncertainties that slow you down when a real patient is in the chair. Providers tell us it is the fastest way to go from cautious to confident.
- Hands-on practice with the records, scanning and submission workflow, guided so you avoid the common capture mistakes
- Confidence selecting the right cases and reading a 3D treatment plan before you approve it
- Time to rehearse interproximal reduction, attachment placement and aligner delivery with feedback in the moment
- A clear approach to finishing and keeping refinements low, with the Doctor’s Library to refer back to
- Time to ask questions and learn alongside other providers who are working through the same cases
