FOR TEENS
Teen patient guide
Clear aligner treatment that fits real teenage life, school, friends, photos and weekends, so teens can straighten their smile and feel confident at every step.

WHY ALIGNERS FOR TEENS
The Active Aligners difference
Being a teenager is busy enough. Active Aligners are clear, comfortable and removable, so straightening your smile fits around school, friends, sport, music and every photo along the way, instead of getting in the way of them.
Because you can take them out to eat and to clean your teeth, there are no food rules and no fiddly brushing around brackets. Trays are changed at home, so there is less chair time and fewer surprise visits, and parents get the reassurance of a fast, predictable track to a straighter, healthier smile.
- Clear and confident for photos, presentations and everyday life
- Eat whatever you want, just take them out first
- Easy to clean, brush and floss like normal
- Around four to six dental visits across the whole treatment
- Comfortable and removable, no brackets cutting into lips and cheeks

WHY CHOOSE ACTIVE ALIGNERS?
Made to keep up with your life
- More predictable outcomes: CAD and individualised treatment planning help map each step upfront.
- Faster, more efficient: teens are often still growing, so suitable cases can move efficiently compared with traditional braces.
- Less chair time: all trays are delivered together; teens change trays every two weeks with follow-ups roughly every six weeks.
- More flexibility in food choices: aligners come out for meals, making normal routines easier.
- More comfortable: no brackets cutting into lips and cheeks.
- Better oral hygiene: brush and floss normally for healthier gums and plaque control.
- Transparent: a discreet option that supports self-confidence.
- Fewer emergencies: fewer broken appliance issues than traditional braces; a gum guard can be worn over the aligners for sport if needed.

GETTING STARTED
Are you a candidate?
- Only fully erupted permanent teeth present (no primary or still-erupting teeth)
- Both parent and teen need to be committed, motivated and responsible, compliance is key
- Aligners must be worn up to 22 hours a day; if that is not realistic, traditional braces may be a better option
It is as easy as 1, 2, 3
- Your Active Aligners professional arranges a 3D scan or impressions to determine candidacy
- Once your dental professional approves the treatment plan and simulated optimal smile, your aligners are manufactured and ready for collection in approximately two weeks
- On completion, wear the retainers included in your package so your new smile lasts
